John Hunter

John Hunter is a vice president of corporate development at Coker. He is an experienced finance and strategy professional with a diverse background spanning consulting, investment banking, and corporate development. He began his career in consulting, first at a boutique firm and later at Deloitte, where he worked on a wide range of engagements focusing on financial damages analyses, intellectual property valuation, and financial strategy for public sector entities. This early experience laid a strong foundation in analytical problem-solving and collaborative, project-based work.

Following his consulting tenure, John earned his MBA from Vanderbilt University. Upon graduation, he transitioned into investment banking with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, where he gained deep transaction execution experience and further refined his financial modeling and valuation capabilities.

Most recently, John has worked in strategic finance and corporate development, leading both acquisitions and divestitures while supporting internal finance initiatives in close partnership with the CFO. His multidisciplinary background enables him to approach business challenges with a well-rounded perspective, combining strategic insight with rigorous financial analysis.
