Business Development Representative

Summary

The expectation of the Business Development Representative (BDR) is to play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Coker. The BDR’s primary responsibility will be to identify and generate new business opportunities by cultivating relationships, understanding client needs, and promoting our consulting services.

Working with the Senior Vice President, Business Development and cross-functionally with the leaders of each Coker service line, the BDR will strategize and implement business development initiatives which align with our organizational growth goals.

Generally, the ideal candidate is a proactive and results-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Location: Office (Atlanta / Nashville) or Remote

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including online research, industry events, and networking.
  • Initiate contact with prospective clients through cold calls, emails, and social media to create awareness of our consulting services.
  • Qualify leads by assessing their budget, authority, need, and timing, and pass qualified opportunities to the service line leadership team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target markets/accounts.
  • Understand client challenges, and goals to effectively position our consulting solutions.
  • Utilize our CRM system (NetSuite CRM) and other tools to manage and track leads, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the business development and marketing team for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the business development, marketing, and service line leadership teams to align strategies and ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize business development processes and efforts.
  • Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics and targets.
  • Provide regular reports on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and other relevant key performance indicators.
  • Represent Coker in various functions such as events, conferences, and seminars to create awareness about the organization’s service lines and generate potential leads.
