Sue Hertlein

Sue Hertlein, Senior Consultant and Managing Coordinator of the IT division of The Coker Group, has over 25 years of experience in the health care industry. With a strong background in Information Technology, she brings a wealth of knowledge to Coker in this field.  She has worked in information systems throughout the much of her career, gaining expertise in proposal creation and analysis, systems testing and implementation, and project management.

Throughout her long career, most of Ms. Hertlein’s experience in health care has occurred on the payer’s side. She was a key player in the implementation of the first PPO in St. Louis and worked for several years for Sanus HMO/PPO.  As the Director of Operations for Sanus, Ms. Hertlein was instrumental in working with the physicians in the HMO/PPO network to improve provider relations through better communications and service.  In her role, she also managed the claim processing and member services staff.

Sue Hertlein’s extensive experience includes publishing hundreds of RFPs, proposals, and other related documents. She also is a certified instructor and has trained many management classes on various subjects such as Empowering your Workforce, Working Together in Teams, Coaching Management for Success, How to Write and Conduct Performance Appraisals, etc.

She completed her studies at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, majoring in Management with a minor in Marketing.
