Jack Grandey Jack Grandey has over 25 years of experience developing and managing diverse projects in healthcare and in other industries. As a Manager with The Coker Group’s IT division, Mr. Grandey uses his skills in technology, business development, strategic planning, and project management to assist clients with complex systems integration and interdisciplinary management projects. Mr. Grandey’s uniquely thorough approach to projects results in implementations that advance the strategic goals of his clients. He is particularly effective in managing team efforts to maximize productivity.
Mr. Grandey’s years as an independent consultant have produced a long list of successful technology-based projects, including a wireless application to improve the exchange of prehospital information between Emergency Medical Services personnel and the Emergency Department; an integrated medical call center to support the burgeoning needs of a leading academic healthcare system, which included single point of entry call referral, nurse triage, and physician answering services; and multiple electronic health record (EHR) implementations for organizations that spanned from solo practitioners to large multi-specialty groups and regional health systems. He has worked with leading researchers on applications of artificial intelligence for healthcare decision making. Drawing upon his actual experience in creating and managing corporate operations, he offers seminars on improving organizational performance and facilitates strategic planning seminars for executive management.
He is an internationally recognized authority on a variety of topics, ranging from bioterrorism to business development. He has addressed more than 50 regional and international conferences, with presentations on successful implementation strategies, the evaluation of emerging technologies, the achievement of excellence within organizations as well as various clinical subjects. Mr. Grandey has authored numerous articles in national publications, including a regular column on adult education, and contributed to several texts on austere medical care. His active professional affiliations have included the National Association of EMS Physicians, the American Medical Informatics Association and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. He is in the process of pursuing a certification in Health Information Technology.
Mr. Grandey attended Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh. He is a nationally registered paramedic with additional qualifications in flight, critical care transport, tactical and wilderness medicine and contributes those skills in our national interest as a member of FEMA’s Disaster Medical Assistance and National Medical Response Teams.
