Jeannie Cagle, R.N., CPC

Jeannie C. Cagle is a Manager of The Coker Group, has more than 22 years experience in clinical health care working in a variety of settings including both adult and pediatric nursing.  Beyond her clinical experience, she has served as a personnel management and human resource specialist.  Prior responsibilities with Coker include personnel and payroll administration, health insurance and benefits administration, workers’ compensation, pension plan administration, and employment-related tax issues.

Ms. Cagle’s role in practice management consulting includes working with physicians in completing coding analyses, medical chart audits, practice assessments, and in human resource management.  Engagements by hospitals and practices encompass coordination of compliance audits for medical necessity reviews and corporate integrity agreements, including serving as an Internal Review Officer (IRO).

Analyzing EMR software from a coding perspective and conducting return-on-investment analyses for implementation of EMR software in medical practices are also projects that Ms. Cagle completes.

Ms. Cagle is a strong educator and instructor in a variety of areas.  An experienced public speaker who incorporates a practical and keen approach to tedious subjects, her current emphasis is on physician education and training in coding and compliance issues. 

A graduate of Harding University, Ms. Cagle has held positions with St. Joseph’s Health System in Memphis, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Cobb Medical Center in Atlanta.  Ms. Cagle is certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders.
