Priscilla Moore
In her role as a senior consultant, Priscilla Moore, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice management initiatives of The Coker Group. Her skills include ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding, negotiation of managed care contracts and fee-for-service arrangements, and a strong background in budgeting and accounting. She is a proven educator in the art of collections and has a broad knowledge of practice management billing systems.
Ms. Moore most recently served as director of revenue cycle management for a large cardiology group in Asheville, North Carolina, where she was responsible for every aspect of the revenue cycle from scheduling through collections, including compliance. Here responsibilities incorporated preparation of monthly reports and presentation of financial data at executive committees and Board of Directors’ meetings.
Prior to that, Ms. Moore worked with a multi-modality and multi-location imaging company in the Atlanta area. There, she established an in-house billing and collections department, including hiring and training of all staff for patient account functions and scheduling.
In other positions in the health care field, Ms. Moore has handled the complete billing office functions of medical practices. Training front office staff and scheduling and pre-certification personnel in correct data gathering techniques to facilitate improved collections are among her areas of strength. She understands the billing and collections aspect of medical practice management inside and out, and she can train others to improve their results.
Ms. Moore has served as an instructor in Computer Technology for the Medical Office at Asheville-Buncombe Country Technical College in Asheville, North Carolina. Over her career, she has been active in notable associations, such as the American Association of Coding Professionals, American Healthcare Radiology Administrators, National Association of Claims Processing Professionals, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
